This course is designed to teach the basics of roundwood timber framing with speed and efficiency and cost saving as a priority. 

You will learn how to set out and cut mortise and tenon joints. Jowels and wall plates and wind braces. The individual project will be dependant on the group but will cover a variety of building types and techniques.

The emphasis is on teaching you how to construct using roundwood without any specialist equipment and using only the bare minimum of hand tools.

Ideal for beginneres, woodland owners, or experienced carpenters to learn a new skill.
